Gunlance autoguard exploit

Is that Gunlance with AutoGuard exploit a real thing or just a haxxord glitch? Because if it is real I'm suddenly not liking the game anymore.

That would be more broken than the Floating Apple glitch in CoD.

Seriously, is it that broken as featured in the Tigrex video? Like god-mode?

It is real. It is broken. It is god mode for those who know how to use and abuse the system.
Its just like the HBG's in MHFU. Gamebreaking if you know what you are doing. MH vets will find that Auto Guard is God mode then move to their favorite weapon for a challenge. Others will have a challenge learning that Shell + reload + shell + reload... and the occasional smash will work like crap on guild high level monsters.

So which is it? Gamebreaking or only temporarily useful? :p

That and is there any official word out yet on whether or not it's a glitch or an intended feature like some claim?

It's obviously an intentional buff to a previously underperforming weapon.

It seems to be intended. I'll bet my bottom dollar that the GL shelling users will suffer if any G version comes out.

So the auto-guard it only works on shelling?

Selenia, autoguard works like this:In the very moment you shell or quick-reload, will fetch you an instant guard. It both attacks and defend at same time.Just imagine a lance that can guard in any point just by pressing guard.

AFAIK, the new autoguard feature/exploit consists of autoguarding during shelling and reloading in addition to previous/standard autoguard situations. There was something of a debate about how broken this is in some other topic. One guy said that shelling wasn't as useful as most people made out and so it wasn't quite so broken. I personally wouldn't know myself but if this "turtling" really is not that effective for efficiently killing a monster then I guess it really doesn't affect good players? As mentioned before it doesn't seem to be overly useful against anything higher than village rank. Cheap for sure but a good method?

I'm not really in any position to comment but there's my half cent.
