MHP3rd Demo: Melee Weapon Move Lists

1. Sword & Shield

- Jumping Slash = Tri + Cir

- Regular Combo = Tri x3

- Revolving Slice = Select

- Horizontal Combo -> Revolving Slice = Cir x3

- Shield Combo -> Revolving Slice = Analog Stick, Cir x3

- Guard Attack 1 (Rising Slice) = While guarding, Tri

- Guard Attack 2 (Side Slice) = While guarding, Cir


2. Dual Swords

(Normal Mode)

- Charging Slice = Tri + Cir

- Regular Combo = Tri x3

- Vertical Combo -> Revolving Slice = Cir x2

- Vertical Combo -> Charging Slice = Cir, Tri

(Demonization Mode)

- Regular Combo = Tri x2

- Revolving Slice = Cir

- Revolving Slice (Only Once) -> Charging Slice = Cir, Tri

- Devilish Dance = Tri + Cir

- Revolving Slice (Only Once) -> Devilish Dance = Cir, Tri + Cir

(Kejin Mode)

- Horizontal Slice -> Semi Devilish Dance = Tri, Tri + Cir

- Vertical Slice -> Semi Devilish Dance = Cir, Tri + Cir

You can't use this Semi Devilish Dance thingy if you don't use any attack first...


3. Great Sword

- Regular Slice = Tri

- Sideways Slash = Cir

- Upswing = Tri + Cir

- Regular Slice -> GS Slap = Tri x2

- Regular Slice -> GS Slap -> Overhead Smash = Tri x2, Analog Stick, Tri

- Kick = Select or R Button + Tri

- Kick -> GS Slap = Select or R Botton + Tri, Tri

- Kick -> GS Slap -> Overhead Smash = Select or R Button + Tri, Tri, Analog Stick + Tri

- Charge Level 1 = Hold Tri (Yellow Aura)

- Charge Level 2 = Hold Tri (Red Aura)

- Charge Level 3 = Hold Tri (Reddish White Aura) -> Let go on Tri when it reach this aura

If you hold Tri too much or less, it goes back to Charge Level 2...


4. Long Sword

- Forward Slice = Tri x2

- Pierce Stab -> Upward Slice -> Downward Slice = Cir, Tri, Tri

- Sweeping Slice (Back) = (After any type of attacks) Tri + Cir

- Sweeping Slice (Left or Right) = (After any type of attacks) Analog Stick (Left or Right), Tri + Cir

- Spirit Attack = R Button x4 (Notice: x4)

5. Hammer

- Regular Combo = Tri x3

- Double Pound -> Charge = Tri x2, R Button

- Side Swing = Cir

- Side Swing -> Pound -> Golf Swing = Cir, Tri, Tri

- Side Swing -> Pound -> Charge = Cir, Tri, R Button

- Level 1 Charge = Hold R Button

- Level 2 Uppercut = Hold R Button

- Level 3 Super Pound = Hold R Button

- Level 3 Spin Attack = Analog Stick + Hold R Button

- Level 3 Spin Release = Analog Stick + Hold R Button, After 3 Spin Attacks, Tri

- Level 3 Spin Golf Swing = Analog Stick + Hold R Button, After 4 Spin Attacks, Tri


6. Lance

- Mid Thrust Combo = Tri x3

- High Thrust Combo = Cir x3

- Lance Sweep = Tri + Cir

- Mid Thrust -> Lance Sweep = Tri, Tri + Cir

- High Thrust -> Lance Sweep = Cir, Tri + Cir

- Charge Attack = Select or While guarding, Tri + Cir

- Counter Attack = R Button + Cir

You Can't use a Counter Attack after the 3rd Thrust...

- Mid Thrust -> Counter Attack = Tri, R Button + Cir

- High Thrust -> Counter Attack = Cir, R Button + Cir

- Lance Sweep -> Counter Attack = Tri + Cir, R Button + Cir

- Endless Combo = R Button + Cir, (Any type of attacks except Charging), R Button + Cir, (Any type of attacks except Charging) and so on...

- Shield Dash = R Button + Analog Stick + Tri

- Shield Dash -> Shield Attack = R Button + Analog Stick + Tri, Tri

You can chain any moves after the Shield Attack...


7. Switch Axe or Slash Axe

(Axe Mode)

- Overhead Slash = Tri

- Forward Slash = Analog Stick + Tri

- Side Slash = Cir

- Rising Slash = Select or Tri + Cir

- Side Slash -> Rising Slash = Cir, Tri

- Side Slash -> Forward Slash = Cir, Analog Stick + Tri

- Rising Slash -> Slash Combo = Select or Tri + Cir, Cir (Button Mashing)

- Rising Slash -> Slash Combo -> Downward Slash = Select or Tri + Cir, Cir (Button Mashing), Tri

- Side Slash -> Rising Slash -> Slash Combo = Cir, Tri, Cir

- Forward Slash -> (Sword Mode) Overhead Slash = Analog Stick + Tri, R Button

- Axe Mode -> Sword Mode = R Button

(Sword Mode)

- Overhead Slash = Tri

- Rising Slash = Select

- Overhead Slash -> Rising Slash = Tri x2

- Side Slash = Cir

- Side Slash -> Overhead Slash = Cir x2

- Side Slash -> (Axe Mode) Side Slash = Cir, R Button

- Sword Mode -> Axe Mode = R Button

- Discharge Thrust = Tri + Cir

- Discharge Thrust -> Side Slash = Tri + Cir, Cir x2

- Discharge Thrust -> Discharge Finisher = Tri + Cir, Tri (Button Mashing)

SA has quick discharge finisher too, hold the joystick in the opposite direction while doing the move. Finisher will come out faster
