Wow,is it just me or Bow seems really broken...

^wow you so suck with a bow.

Bows are a little too much right now. Kill times that could almost match hammers, all from a safe distance. And those 2 cats give more opportunity to attack.

I was a bow user in MHFU too so i'm enjoying all the buffs i'm getting in MHP3. Just that is seems a bit too much.

And then there is the new arrow rain shot. One of the most useful additions in-game.

As you may have already found out, the explosives can achieve KOs faster, however it is also harder to hit the head with it.

Explosive and Focused shot both do 20 KO assuming all hits connect. I agree though, Focused seems like the best of the 3 to me, especially in multiplayer where Spread and Explosive aren't always too team-friendly to use. Spread tears Rathalos and Rathian apart though, since it hits both wings and the head constantly you get non stop staggers.

@Brinetold:

A weapon that was once at the bottom of the pile when it comes to damage output suddenly becomes one of the best weapons is too much. It was too situational to be good at best in Unite but bows have become really consistent in MHP3.

It's still not too much and it's still not one of the best weapon. It is just as good as other weapon.

I didn't try it myself but in Frontier I would see a crazy amount of Bow users, I'm guessing it was a much better weapon there too than it was on MHFU.

As a Bow user, I want more. I want to beat those LS users. I want to show the GS users what a Bow can do (or can't do...). I want to laugh at the Hammer users.

So it is never too much. Wakakakakak!

They aren't broken. What's broken about them? Broken was when you could take a HBG out as a total noob and spend the entire fight flinching a monster over and over with no danger to your character. That's broken.

Considering the power buff they got, bows are just as bad as bowguns from Unite now if not worse since they have more mobility. One of the reasons bowguns were cheap is like you said, large damage and no danger. Bows are exactly that now.
