Far out troubles (beware the far depths of space)

I've been going out along the +X axis for the last few days to see how far the universe expands. When I tried to move right from (1006,0), the game crashed several times.

I noticed that really strange graphical glitches were occurring when I moved around within the 4x4 area with the level (the space graphics in the 4x4 region did not scroll, and other 4x4 areas were flickering), so I suspected that maybe the 4x4 area was loaded improperly. I moved left until the 4x4 area was far offscreen, and then I came back. forcing it to reload that area, and sure enough, that fixed everything.

I'm now at (1062,0) and going further, and everything seems to be okay, but just in case, wish me luck. I ask that everybody be careful when going far out; if any funny graphical glitches are occurring in space, don't try to play any more levels until you get the glitches to stop.

Also, by the way, I'm going on vacation tomorrow to the Hilton Head. I'll be taking the first plane trip in my life ever. I'm not sure if I'll bring my laptop...

Alright, the game stops being fun when some of the levels begin to just crash under their own incredible weight. The game was clearly not built to handle levels with that many Gorgon eyes. I just played a level that had 58 Gorgons. FIFTY-EIGHT. I didn't even have to wait for them to fire; the game crashed as soon as my ball touched one.

You know who this game reminds me of? Tweek from South Park. "WHAAAT?! Oh my GOD, that's, like, OVER FIFTY GORGONS! AAAGH, TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!"

I'm at (1280,0) right now. There are already a few instances where I've had to skip a level and try the one before it due to the level being unplayable.

Sorry if I offend you, but I find this very, very funny. XD

On Alphabounce.com, one of the mods tried to test the depths of the universe.
Eventually, he was just encountering walls (levels full of normal bricks) and the occasional deathtrap.

He eventually used the Retrofuser (which teleports you back to [0][0]) once he got bored.

Exactly how far did he go?

Yeah, when you get way out there, you see lots of Purple and Red Nexus turrets. Both deal over 10 damage (which I thought was not possible up until I found them). Purple deal 12 and Red deal 20. At least purples can be nullified by putting an Advanced Shield on the BEGNE-TWO. Reds, on the other hand, are absolutely frightening, especially since you can't dodge them half the time thanks to the lag.

The following setup is doing me wonders, though:

PHOENIX
-Explosive Ball
-Shield
-Wave Generator
-Rotative Cannon
-Advanced Hacking Drone / Ice Ball / a Ball that can one-shot purple Walls (if I'm having trouble on a level, I may switch depending on what's in it).

M-ALMOTH
-Fire Ball (which doubles in range)
-Stealth Ball
-Advanced Shield
-Pulse Cannon
-Hacking Drone

I try to hope that PHOENIX revives itself (because that makes it invincible). If not, I at least hope that M-ALMOTH is able to destroy the turrets or their cables before they fire.

I brought my laptop on vacation and they have free WiFi at the hotel I'm staying in, so I can post, but I don't have the game with me; I was afraid I'd lose my DSi if I brought it, so I left it at home.

The Antimatter or Plasma Ball will take out purple bricks in one hit.

As does the Stealth Ball, which is one of the reasons I always keep it on the second ship even when there's something better I could use.
