Hey guys...I've spent way too much of the last year playing NHL 11 and after teaching so many new friends the ways of EASHL and NHL 11 in general I decided to make a video series giving pretty basic tips and strategies

I just produced my first video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu3Flofdthw

It would be cool if you guys could watch and tell me what you think, or what you would like to see. I know this is REALLY basic strategy but I'm sure you guys have seen the people that play drop-in OTP..I feel like it is my duty to help the helpess lol.

Also subscribe and I'm sure I'll get to more advanced strats/vids of my EASHL team's strategies.

And lastly, if anyone is interested in playing EASHL or OTP sometime my GT is nhlboy2008

Thanks guys

it's refreshing to see someone apply a hockey sense to this game. i watched the videos and they're sound strategy, although i'd recommend against the dump and chase for the most part, at least against computer defenders. for whatever reason, the computer players suddenly channel their inner grabner and almost always win the race to the puck. as a last resort, if this is the only option to avoid the neutral zone turnover, it will work. but i've seen players attempt this every time with the puck and it's far too conservative to be useful that way.

i'm assuming you play as a 2wf?

Yup , 2wf. Love the defensive stats in it.

the dump and chase works against CPU if you cross the blue line first or just put it behind the net with a RT tap or even a RB+Right stick slap pass.

The inner grabner does come out if you dump from beyond the blueline though lol

Great job on the videos. Would be nice to play with or against people that:

#1 - Has hockey sense and #2 - Doesn't try to cheese every chance they get.

bmx- are you still looking for forwards?

GRT- i saw in the '12 introduction thread, you play d? are you currently in a club?

for about half of this game's lifecycle i played for a top club. the club eventually dissolved because of exclusion of multiple dressing rooms, and i've spent the last couple of months looking for a core group for next year. i'm only interested in fundamentally solid two-way hockey players. right now we have four players committed, two forwards and two dmen. but we're looking to find more like-minded individuals interested in starting fast in '12 and being a top 25 or so elite club.
