Obviously, if we had ADS, the hip fire accuracy would go out the window like any other game with it.
That said, on certain rifles, it would be good. Even for some automatics. For pistols, SMGs, most assault rifles, and shotguns, as well as most of the alien/trust weaponry, it would not work.
I vote have it as one of the weapons' zoom feature. Like a rifle without a scope. --- 2% of GameFAQs users have this in their signature. If you're one of the 98% that doesn't, copy and paste this into your signature.
I actually find that it helps me a lot when a game allows me to aim down sights. My style of play on MAG is especially indicative of this. I agree, that it would probably be best if "lock on" were replaced by it.
A definite yea for me.

If they didn't have ADS, they should use the Z button as a default lock screen button, where your reticle doesn't gravitate to the nearest enemy but you can only strafe or go forward or backward... no turning... something atleast to make things a bit more accurate.... the payoff would be people could be out of your peripheral vision, and if you were still on the lock screen mode, you wouldn't see them --- ~~~~Frozen Primates and Polite Rodents make for really good bands~~~~~ "The extreme irony of life is that nobody gets through it alive"- a friend
