It locked the enemy onto a horizontal axis, If they let your targeted enemy move somewhat loosely around your screen I have no problem with it. That way you would still have to do most of the aiming.

I would. It still makes it easier to hit, making it so you don't have to worry about turning onece you're locked on.

At the very least I hope they make a hardcore option that has no lock on.

So far, HVSTony seems to be against universal lockon, so I'd say quit giving them "middle grounds" that suck. The hardcore mode is our best bet. Hopefully it won't need unlocking, too, since I'd hate to have to play 50 games with bull**** lockon just to play a real FPS.

They should just make it how the Z button works in Metroid when you're not locked on - it lets you move your pointer around on-screen without the camera moving.

I quite like the lock on system in TCon one. But if it wasn't there, I'll use good ol' fashioned aiming.

On Tcon online I face some well 'ard players who can out snipe a Scar vet with their trusty pistol with out lock.

Strange, I go paintballing and I'm a great shot. I go on a FPS and I find it much harder.

Lock-on is fine. I don't know why everyone is complaining.

Lock-on won't help you be any better if you are already skilled at FPS. All what lock-on does is help even the ground for some less skilled players.
