will there be a spectator mode for multiplayer? If there is, then it would be really great for machinima purposes

You know, HVSTony browses these boards, and probably knows. Even if there isn't one, this could be taken as a suggestion and included into the game.

Tony said in the network that this takes a lot of time and HVS prefers working in the actual game than in a 'machinima mode'

It shouldn't actually be that hard to implement a basic free-run spectator mode when you die, provided the maps are properly closed with blocking volumes.

Yeah I'd like to spectate on matches.

Remember 'ghost cam' on Quake 3?

Say for all these site clan wars we get. Someone filming the footage from a floating cam could really make clan wars very interesting. I dare say TCon devs probably don't like the use of filming footage but....

Heck, If death matces were televised by using 'ghost cams' I think it'd be a fine game show/ entertainment.

It would be a nice feature, and I hope it gets considered as the game nears completion. What Tony said was right, they should work on the actual game first, but if they have time, they should definitely think about throwing that in there.

how about spectating in a third person view when you die? I know its really hard to show a gun moving about in first person so why not give us a third person view with a movable camera?
