The screen splits, and splits again.
I'm not impressed though. I wanted 16 player local multiplayer. This 4 player local limit is pathetic.

^ That'd be pretty damn spiffy if you could. Not really sure how well that would work though, and it would definitely have latency issues due to having not just 4 people on one connection, but 4 people on one pretty weak wireless connection running packets off one console. --- 2% of GameFAQs users have this in their signature. In MKWii, can't you have 4 player splitscreen play as well? 4 > 2.
Also, a racing game requires much less data transfer than a first person shooter. A FPS needs to show where someone is, what weapon they're holding, the direction they're facing on two axis, how fast they're moving, what stance they're in, if they're jumping, if they're shooting, what method of fire, ect, ect, and it all needs to be up-to-date. A racer, on the other hand, only needs a semi-up-to-date where they are, what direction they're facing on one axis, how fast they're moving, what item they have/haven't shot, and if they're jumping/powersliding. --- 2% of GameFAQs users have this in their signature.
