quick question/concern

To HVSTony I bought and enjoyed the first conduit, for the most part. However, one issue i did not like (that nobody else brought up) are the weapons speed and damage. In the first conduit It felt like the weapon fire was too slow (especially the strike rifle) and not powerful enought (such as the mp5k). So my question is: Are you guys trying to change this in any way? Thanks, Alex

In regards to the Strike Rifle, you know it fires as fast as you can fire it right?

I agree, though, with the damage thing. The MPK5 and SCAR felt pretty weak. I wasn't too fond of how fast the TCP launcher shot, either.

by weapon fire do you mean the Strikers bullets themselves, or the rate of fire it has?

And the MP5K is actually really strong up close and can be a reliable killer if used with a melee attack.

It's pretty reliable if you crouch, too, but the issue is that a lot of weapons in this game just don't do very much damage compared to other(better) FPS out there. Where other games would have you killing in a half a second without hitting perfectly, The Conduit has it taking more than a second without missing. Combine that with the slow move speed, and stuff just... isn't that fun.

I'd like to see the whole game have a faster feel to it, myself.

i mean the speed at which it will travel from one destination to another (felt like the enemy would have a chance to move before the bullet would reach them). And from what ive experienced from online play, I remember many times where me and an enemy would waste multiple clips (mp5k) when engaging each other.

Yeah, Conduit isn't nearly as fast paced at the one bullet play style CoD has. The Conduit play may even be considered to have more health then Halo players.

And yes the bullets DO travel slowly, but only for Drudge and Trust weapons. The Human weapons however offer the fastest bullet speed, and the problems your having with the MP5 is probably caused by its wide inaccurate shooting on full auto.

To compensate the MP5's unreliable accuracy, its preferable to shoot in tiny bursts if at mid-range, or fire in full auto as your dashing forward for a melee strike. Head shots make a HUGE difference with this weapon, like every other weapon in The Conduit, except Deatomizer.

The MP5 has a bit of a learning curve to it compared to other weapons. if you cant aim ahead with the Strike Rifle, Hive Cannon, Deatomizer, or Warp Pistol, then use the Human weapons.

I think I do enjoy the longer life in Tcon.
I REALLY like fire fights that last more than two shots.

But I do like faster paced gameplay, A LOT.

I am a Daredevil Mastermind.
( brain hex, check it out here http://survey.ihobo.com/BrainHex/)

Basically that just means I like mind games, and I like fast, slightly out of control pace.

So I think for me, what would be ideal would be...
Fast game speed, quick animations, VERY short re spawn time.
But a long enough life so that its not the first shot that matters.
W/ COD I've always felt the winner was always the one who was able to pull the trigger first, I thought that was kinda lame.
I'd like to live long enough for there to be an option to run away, or perhaps stall long enough for backup, or to think of some way to outsmart this guy.
The current life is pretty good for that, maybe if it was just... 10% longer.

That was fun. We have the same subclass. But, I have to say, I hate drawn out fights. It should end in a couple of shots; the trick should be landing both of those before your opponent lands theirs.

Two shots? O.o
You should at least have time to turn around.

The reason I don't like the quick kills like that is because it makes moving around more risky. It also gives advantage to whoever shoots the farthest, and cuts out approach options.

There is a certain appeal, my favorite FPS, Geist, is deffinitly more like that. One or two hits and the fight is over, but it works way different than Tcon does, every gun seems to be pretty dang ineffective at long ranges. ( also, I highly recommend Geist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc05f-fR5OE )
I think, In order for long range to work with close range well, you have to make it take more shots than just two, unless you're talking like... Two really nice headshots.

Also, I think that by just speeding up the game speed, you can make it so the kills happen just as small a timeframe. but you still have more shots to make it happen. And that is what seems exciting to me.

Actually, being able to mess with the game speed would be pretty cool, I wonder how much work that would be...

Anyway, as for gameclass, here is my full readout:
Daredevil 19
Mastermind 18
Conqueror 17
seeker 12
Achiever 11
Socializer 6
Survivor 5

Mine breaks nicely into tiers ^_^
