As long as there is a perk that reduces SMAW damage by so much that it'd require two direct hits, I'm fine. Maybe even set it up so that if you use a power weapon, you can't get any other perks/equipments/secondaries. Reason for the above is how unnecessary a weapon that is meant to blow up vehicles is being used in extremely close combat(considering TCon's small maps).

The player will have the choice to have the SMAW. However, to discourage everyone from always choosing the SMAW, the SMAW will cost a lot more points. This means that if a player were to spend points on the SMAW he would not be able to afford to get much else like extra ammo, a sidearm, grenades, perks, radar, abilities, equipment, armor, etc. The player may be able to get a strong weapon but that player would not be able to afford much else and thus have a weaker character. A weaker character is balanced by a stronger weapon.

I hate that idea because nobody would care, because durrr dey haz BIG boom weppin.
There's also the fact that their lack of ammo wouldn't ever matter because they'd probably die often so the SMAWing would never end. It just wouldn't work. They have to remain placed all over the map or I just can't see it working at all.
