There's also the fact that it's pretty universally agreed that the multiplayer of The Conduit was a rush job half-assed tack-on game mode to make the game sell better. The development of The Conduit wasn't unsimilar to Wolfenstein in that it was very clearly focused on the campaign mode. Even if the rush-job tack-on multiplayer had it's charm to it, it aught to be redone for the betterment of the whole series, which is clearly one of the main goals of Conduit 2, as well as expanding on the fine campaign of the first game.
