If you could type to anyone, why not 'speak? Think about it. The speaking isn't the issue. It's the policies.

That said, I never used the mic in MPH, or any online game with voice chat. I prefer to type and read. I'd love to see even limited keyboard support for this game.

One argument for keyboard that I'd be all for...

Less data than Voice, and always understandable.

I NEVER use wii speak during matches. It laggs the game up.
I don't like the idea of other people talking and lagging up the game either. >:9

Keyboard = lag friendly.

I definitely wouldn't want them to forget WiiSpeak though... I'll be using one. It'd just be nice to have the option to use a keyboard, for those without WiiSpeak.

Xbox Live - Can speak to anyone
PSN - Can speak to anyone
Nintendo Wi-Fi - speak to friends only and Friend Codes to add people

Come on Nintendo stop being so behind on stuff. Good thing Capcom used their own servers for Monster Hunter 3 to get around those flaws.
