It added linearity to the game. Or you could at least have an option for turning it on or off because we already had "charging" the ASE for the way to go.

Agree, by having an option to disable it can increase the length of the campaign mode by encouraging the exploration of the rooms. But it could be necessary for bounty hunter

I think then it would have an auto-enable for that. Or it's just that hard core to have the option work even for that. :) But yeah this is something they can focus on later.

It is not a critical feature, but could be VERY useful if done IMO. For the aforementioned reasons.
