Or at least make the secondary thingy semi-auto. Give some advantage for us shotgunners when going against full-auto gunners online

hate to say it TC, but i gotta disagree :(. the shotgun in tcon was a pretty powerful weapon. too powerful really. with that said, im glad they nerfed the range a little bit...

Or better, put the XM1014 from CS.
Weaker but semi auto fire.

They nerfed the range? It's clearly going to be a bottom-tier gun, like it is in BFBC2 and CoD.

Lock-on is the only reason it was so powerful. Plus, since everyone is going to camp a LOT more because of the no lock-on, the shotgun is going to be disadvantageous 3/4 of the time. It's going to be the gun people use for a challenge.

But, no. It shouldn't be semi-auto. Weapon variety is more important than weapon balance. A SA shotgun is just a slower, mor epowerful pistol with horrible range. That makes it useless, unless you also want it to maintain power--which is absurd. Why not also make the SMAW semi-auto?

In a game that will be campy, give someone a gun that can reward them with OHKO if they're smart. I think they should have increased the range, especially since there won't be the cancel glitch...That way, it has SOME versatility.

Was the nerfed range another fan-inspired step backwards?

This might be true if the people who actually need lock-on didn't have the choice to play with it separately from the people who are playing without it. Why would they join games without lock on to camp when they can just play games with lock-on and play regularly or still camp more easily?

I've used a semi-auto shotty for the secondary in James Bond: Agent Under Fire...there's a reason why it shouldn't be added.

This topic made me laugh.

lets give the shotgun insane range, and give it explosive shells for the hell of it.

The shotgun in The Conduit was VERY noob friendly, but now thats gonna change. i like that.
