Conduit 2 looks heavily influenced by the Metroid Prime series, so you might be right if they had Metroid on their minds when they came up with it.

I actually like the looks of Conduit 2 much more than Other M.

I've never played Metroid Prime Hunters, but this "control point" mode sounds a lot like Headquarters from cod.

I think its more of a mix of l4d2 with endless waves and movement, and battlefield where your capturing stuff to get points.

Dozens of much better games have had this gametype, and done it much better to boot, than MP:H.
