Just saw that direct-feed footage from IGN. Is it just me, or does the environment still look very linear? I know that the levels are a lot more interesting, with more details and cinematic events, but it seems like the they're generally still straight paths, or "corridor" style. I know there are exceptions, such as that multiplayer map through the grassy ruins, but I have a feeling that the additional exploration in levels that HVS has been talking about is just gonna be the option to choose between taking two different hallways or something. Does anyone else notice this?
It's a possibility. One of the split pathways we've seen so far was walk up the stairs, through the door and go through this part of the oil derrick, or walk past stairs, go through that door and this other part of the oil derrick. If the rest are like that it won't be too bad imo.
