I've been wondering what the effects ability to shoot through walls might have on level design. They've got to make at least some areas safe from snipers, and you have to be able to take cover. If the phase rifle can shoot through a wall, then the only safe place would be on the other side of two walls.
^ As far as i can tell.... you can only shoot through one wall at a time. Either that or it takes even LONGER amounts of time to find a heat signature if theres more than one wall between you and the target.
