The graphical effect of the 'shot' seems to last long after impact.
So... my conclusion is that the 'bullet' hits, then implodes into a black hole wherever it lands. So if YOU are shot with it, and stay in that same spot, the newly created black hole will start to hurt you over and over.
Think of it like a Radiation grenade, but doesnt stick to the 'object' where it lands, but merely the space where it imploded.

It multiplies you by zero, compressing you into a singularity and making you spontaneously combust at the same time. You then get beaten by Tony in the alternate universe, where you then proceed to cry to your mommy. After that sad episode, you meet Deepthought and the number 42...but then you find out that the ultimate question was "what is 7x6?" You then are transported into someone else's new Minecraft save, but they are a noob and you die after being raped by zombies.
