Ah, so you can choose between full auto with no control or manual fire with control?
I thought they just took away projectile control altogether...

Exactly, that's its alt fire.

Kirby_Pwns_All: "So, six new maps basically."
xXDa-KidXx: "9 new maps."

"Six new maps basically."

Twelve maps. Three are from the previous game. Three more are smaller versions of other maps. So six new maps, three returning maps, and three reduced versions of larger maps.

Kind of disappointing. Don't CoD games have more starting maps, without even including map packs. And didn't Perfect Dark Zero have around the same number of starting maps, but all were unique? I may be wrong, but didn't *every* PDZ map also have a "small" variant? (And, of course, it got six more maps through DLC.)

Twelve (or nine) maps isn't terrible, there have been games with less, but it isn't exactly amazing either. Maybe on the lower end of "acceptable", depending on how you feel about small variants and/or returning maps.

Now, it could be that the small variants are completely different in design from their larger brethren, and just reuse some themes and resources, but that hasn't been the impression given so far.

Call of Duty has unlimited resources to put however many maps they want, but there are usually only a few truly uniqe maps.
