Keep in mind that the lock on is different from before. Now, it just keeps your target on screen, rather than center screen. I highly doubt that you'll need help keeping someone on your screen. Go ahead and use the Classic Controller.

Seriously, can someone point me to where HVS said Lock On is indeed different(or a video showing obvious differance). Every gameplay video I have watched has it looking exactly the same mechanics-wise.

Wiimote plus, and nunchuck, i'm really good with hip firing with it too.

i hate aiming with the wiimote because if my crusor goes offscreen, i have to find it again and my nunchucks are pretty sucky...
although im a sniper (but i'm never camper, after a while i go out into battle with an smg) so the wiimote is good for headshots.

im so torn D:

The lock on feature before just locked the camera on the target sothey stayed in the same place on the screen (i.e. if you pushed lock on when the target was on the bottom left corner of the screen, they stayed on the bottom left corner of the screen). It did not center the target.

Is the new system still like that?

I wasn't sure, so I just popped in The Conduit to check. Lock on does, in fact, force your target into the center of the screen.

I cannot remember which interview it was in, but I am positive that the lock on has been confirmed to be different than in the first game. I'm looking for it now, but there's a lot of material to go through.

yeah, the above statement is wrong. lock on centered the target and people quickly learned that if you kept your cursor perfectly still in the middle of the screen you could 'no scope' snipe people with the SCAR from across the map. it was too easy.

so the new lock on will just keep target from going off screen.. that sounds good. but has anything been said about any sort of aim-assist where the cursor nudges toward/snaps to/follows a target? for instance, in black ops they felt the need to give CCP users a stronger aim-assist than wiimote.

^ so is lock on, and judging by your initial post, you dont like the idea that the CCP scheme doesnt offer it..

i know aim assist is for noobs, i was asking if it's in the game or not.
