An effective close-quarters weapon. The Conduit 2 version of the SPAS 12 is pump-action, forcing a delay between shots. Reloads happen one shell at a time, so it is possible to load less than the maximum ammo in less time than a full reload. Shots seem less accurate than before and will not do much damage with less than a full hit and/or beyond a short distance.
Surely there's no problem with them putting me in Brawl, right? It's ****ing satire, damnit. My quote rocks your socks.
But it always makes me a little sad that they have to nerf the shotgun so much. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8O_bHR3BmTY#t=4m56s
I was really hoping they'd just give it less choke, you know? The main problem with using the shotgun in the first game was, well it just didn't seem consistent at all. Hit or miss. I think what it needs is more spread and more damage, Basically how it would shoot if it was a sawed off.
The value for using it over distance is totally diminished, but it becomes more reliable, even if you still have to sweetspot for a OHKO.
But I guess we'll see how things turned out, going off of vids is just to speculative, especially with the type of players we get to watch.
SPAS 12, the one gun in particular that should have been raised in damage and left in the single-player campaign because of its inadequacies. Honestly, this gun will not make any sense to me outside of campaign and invasion because of what it is, a shotgun.
Do you know what happens to buckshot when it encounters body armor? If you said nothing happens you would be correct; the shotgun is devastating against flesh but should not be able to do much against futuristic armor and cyborgs. That is why this gun would be fun to use against aliens that do no wear armor and silly against someone that is wearing some scifi battle suite like the destroyer armor, the trust cyborgs, jade warriors, the super armor trust guys, the regular armored trust guys , and so on and so forth.
HVS had the opportunity to rewrite the book and pick some other variant of a shotgun instead of just a standard one; heck they like the idea of organic weapons, why not make some worm thing you squeeze to shoot a "buckshot" like spread of acid, explainable damage and fills the spot of a shotgun.
Except for maybe that new "Dragon Skin" kevlar vest. Much about how it works is still unknown.
i remember watching a video on TV from a terrorist's point of view. You could hear them talking and they were waiting for a US soldier to turn towards them so that they can then snipe in dead in the chest.
Well it happens and the US Soldier got shot dead on in the sterman and fell onto his ass.
1.6 seconds later he jumped back up to his feet, and chased the terrorist bastards down.
"Dragon Skin" is something new and awesome. and i want it on my first born.
