There is always some other, bigger game around, or the season is wrong, or there is some economic crisis or a natural disaster.
For Conduit 2 it's still better to release alongside some PS360 games then to release next to Goldeneye, CoD BO or some Nintendo first party franchise games. I think the release into a major Wii drought is a great opportunity. I just fear Sega isn't really aware of this, the marketing is pretty unspectacular so far.
While I'm aware that most people buying Portal 2 from Gamestop are console people, it sickens me to see it classified as a console game. And to be fair the Conduit is a much newer franchise and while the first one was good, it was pretty damn buggy.
