Controller Settings

#1Warrior0420Posted 4/19/2011 8:10:30 AM(edited)
The default controls leave a lot to be desired in this game and can really dampen the experience for some. After a bit of tweaking, my controls seem to be better but there may still be room for improvement.

Post your settings here and maybe you can help someone out that is having a difficult time getting things just right.

My current settings are as follows..

Turning Speed - 45
Cursor Sensitivity - 100
Wii Remote Thrust Sensitivity - 50
Nunchuck Shake Sensitivity - 50

Current Camera Style - Custom
X Look - Crouched
Y Look - Crouched

Dead Zone
89 width
134 height

Auto-Center - Off
Turn While Offscreen - On

I don't have the game (Europe), but i'll watch this topic to see how to configure my controls when it comes. Do you use motion plus?

Forgot to mention that I don't have WM+. The first post has been edited to correct this.

Isn't there a 180 turn button? I'll check this configuration later on.

There is it's dpad up by default. I didn't post any of my button mappings because those are generally easier for people to set on their own.

Thanks for the clarification on m+, because i have two (perhaps soon three, those ultra cheap RS2 sure are attractive) and many people seem to think it improves the controls a lot.

Revised my controls a bit changing Y look to "With Dead Zone" so I can actually move the camera up/down again. :P Getting rid of the camera look for X axis seems to be what makes the biggest improvement to me.

The default controls feel great to me. A little button mapping and a small sensitivity change and I was good to go.

Just to add onto this, if your controls feel a bit off, try the Sensor bar Calibration.
Its under Options>>VideoOptions>>Sensor Bar Calibration. I could feel the difference after calibrating it and it plays great.
