I was just thinking about, for some reason.... And now I can't stop.
Remember when a whole bunch of Tcon guys used to be all up in here being all "Con2 deserved all the negative reviews." And the whole board was just like a bloodbath.
I am STILL angry at how unfair many of those reviews were. And just thinking about how people have no cores, and no values is even worse.
The one group of individual who were in a position to take the reviews for what they were, and call out the BS, Instead decided to slather it all over their bodies. Just totally embracing half truths, and the occasional blatant lie, simply because Con2 wasn't the game they wanted or expected.
And the thing that I think is the worst is, Con2's fate may not have been sealed by the time these reviews came out. It sounded like Sega was watching two things when deciding what they were going to do with Con2.
Reviews, and Pre-Orders.
Just think about this. If Sega had been convinced that more people would like the game, and buy it. That could have meant a lot for HVS, and for its employees. And it could have meant a lot for us too. Even if all that came of it was another small run of games being printed, and longer post launch support.
People could have lost their job, because some "journalist" was not interested in putting in the effort of making sure there was correct information in their review.
Fortunately, Reviews did get better the longer the game was out, but... Too little too late.
Idk about that, i think HVS is committed to continuing with the Conduit and now that Nintendo is going HD it is very exciting indeed. After that? Who knows? I hope they continue though cuz its a great game and story.
