I loved the online at launch, but some of the early patches made the online unplayable. The issues weren't fixed quickly, so I traded in the game while it was still worth something. Is the online any better?
That's a big question. We need to know that first, but I think the game is at least a little more balanced than before. --- Pseudo-official Co-'Pun'-isher of the Conduit 2 Board. Free-Lancer clan FTW! Too bad you can't join. http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/23206541.jpg
Well, the lag only get's bad with 10-12 players and even then they are usually playable at the least. The guns are much better balanced now, and the only thing that's really all that bad in the balance department would be Reverse Damage. But even then, it's useless against any OHK weapon or grenades. finding a game in FFA is fairly rare, and the Hardcore modes are dead, but I was thinking of starting weekly HC games or something like that. However, you can almost always find a game in Big Team Grab Bag.

My biggest issue was the lag, but I do remember that with the right stuff equipped people could move way too fast. I thought the lag was fine at release, but after a certain patch things got really bad. I'd shoot a guy on my screen, then he would warp behind a wall and take no damage.
Did any patches do anything to the 1 hit kill gun that could see through walls? That was my favorite one to use =)
Supercharger got hugely nerfed, although with supercharger (slightly increased speed), metal legs (infinite sprint), the speed Control Point and a light weapon people can move quite fast. The lag issue you mentioned happens occasionally with people who have really bad connections in large games, but you just need to ignore them, they can't hurt you and if you hurt them they don't die until right after you do.

Yes the online is still good. Some lag and stuff, but very playable. And some patches were made awhile ago that made overpowered perks skill based. --- -This is toho2, godzilla 2014 and jlpgaming at your service. Please kill all you see.-
