There's probably a few paranoid or hopeful people, but it's really a joke to everyone at this point. Especially since there wasn't really a solid foundation for the theory and there's nothing going on that would suggest anything is about to happen...except maybe all this wind.

Y2K wasn't even predicting the apocolypse, though. It just predicted that computers would crash, so that airplanes and businesses would stop running, but the very fact that it was talked about was why it didn't happen. It's quite an easy thing to prevent, from a programming standpoint.
