Error 60000 after Wii U transfer, goodbye 36

#1_SignalPosted 12/30/2012 5:11:24 PM
So none of my transferred profiles will connect to multiplayer on the Wii U. Not just Conduit 2, but every multiplayer game that I have. Conduit 2, Onslaught, MW3, Animal Crossing, every one fails to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi and gives an error 60000.

Something obviously went wrong during the transfer.

Expect a new friend code from me when I get back on, but you guys might as well go ahead and delete 36 from all your lists... it will never connect to multiplayer again, since it won't work on the Wii U and has been erased from the Wii during the transfer process.

I'll start a thread at some point and post my new FC. Everyone that want's me to add them can post there.

Ugh. What a major hassle.

This suggests that you're having a router issue:

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/results.jsp?error_code=60000&system=Wii&locale=en_US

It doesn't say anything about transfer problems. Since none of your games are connecting, I don't think it's a transfer issue.

Thanks Mike, but my router is fine.

I probably didn't include enough information before.

Everything works on the Wii U side. It connects to the internet, and I can stream Netflix, go to Miiverse, create a Nintendo Network ID, and play Black Ops 2 multiplayer.

The problem is exclusively on the Wii side, and then only with profiles that were transferred. If I make a new profile in C2, it will connect to multiplayer and seems to work fine, but the transferred profiles for all the games will only work in campaign, none of the transferred profiles will connect to multiplayer at all, not for C2 or any other game.

I was on the phone with Nintendo for over an hour trying to sort it out, and they really couldn't solve the problem. They were very pleasant, patient, and tried to be helpful, but they just haven't seen this happen before. They weren't really even sure what the error 60000 meant in this context. LOL, they had me do the connection test about 5 times, which it always passed.

Haha, your edit is quite funny.

Wow I was in a terrible mood an hour ago. I feel better knowing that at least it can be salvaged on some level by copying my profile to a new slot.

I'm not sure about all the other games, but at least C2 can be salvaged.

Well, sorry to hear that. That's yet another reason I'll never transfer any data off my Wii.

Well, I can't argue with that, but apparently this must be a pretty rare event if the people at Nintendo had no idea what to do.

There was a brief interruption during my transfer and I had to click "try again." Also there was a very vague screen about overwriting Wi-Fi data that I said "no" to but probably should have said "yes."

As always, I need fewer options as opposed to more.
