He just said that both Fallout 1 AND 2 didn't sell well, but now there's a Fallout 3, and it's been very successful. Also, I believe The Elder Scrolls took a few games to gain popularity.
They did. Hence why I listed both the original, and TES (The Elder Scrolls) 2: Daggerfall. I personally bought and played TES3: Morrowind It's one of my favorite games of all time. The mod support of that is almost as legendary as MineCrafts. Almost.
Fallout 1 and 2 is kinda an unfair thing, though, because they were handled by a different company before selling the IP to Bethesday.
But Team Fortress... man, Team Fortress was NOTHING. Valve was nothing until The Orange Box (Portal, TF2, and Half Life [2?]) put them on the map. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/LigsGames New Gaming Video's Daily. --- Subscribers:20 Views: 758
They've been known to exaggerate in the past. Look at how overhyped TCon was...
Who overhyped it? I was on the TCon board at launch 3 1/2 years ago, and it wasn't that bad. People had high hopes, yes, but Hype is the wrong word. Besides, most people on the board felt it lived up to their expectations, DarkShadowRage excluded. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/LigsGames New Gaming Video's Daily. --- Subscribers:20 Views: 758
