LigersRulePosted 1/13/2013 3:57:47 PM | I just posted this in another topic, but I figured I should make this topic to grab your attention.
Why haven't you put the Conduit franchise on Steam? You would need a small team to port it to PC, but it can't be that much work. Once you get that far, it's essentially effortless to get the game on to the service, and there is no cost. You make money from sales, but you never spend a dime once you port it. If you put it at a reasonable price, say $10-$20, people would eat it up.
In addition to massively expanding your user base, you would make quite a bit of money, probably enough to fund a Conduit 3, and you would get that many more people to say "Hey, sounds worth it to me" and checking it out. Especially if you ask some reviewers on YouTube to review it (send them a free code), regardless of whether or not they rate it well, you would get another flock of their viewers (several thousand, if not tens or hundreds of thousands) to try out your games. Sure, not everybody would enjoy it, but there would be a lot that would.
Now, you can even expand the interest more by putting BOTH GAMES in one. Think about it. A 20 hour FPS campaign with lots of multiplayer maps and options, all for $20? I know TONS of people who would buy that in a heartbeat, regardless of the quality of the game.
Now, you would have to do a little bit of modifications to the game's code... Remove Lock-On for one, so no hackers can access it, as well as anything you can to outdate the current hacks on the Wii version (the code is easily accessible, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to counteract it). Even so, this work wouldn't be anywhere NEAR the amount of people buying this game.
Please, HVS, consider it. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/LigsGames New Gaming Video's Daily. --- Subscribers:20 Views: 758 |
Hawke0Posted 1/13/2013 7:51:10 PM | Sounds like a million dollar idea. Much better than my "independently develop Conduit 3D and port to the Wii U" idea. --- now playing Metroid, Castlevania III, Punch Out, and StarTropics. Super Mario Bros Lost Levels>World>3 |

Does HVS own the license for The Conduit universe or is that shared with Sega? --- Conduit2FC(36): 3354-2948-5226 Oh, and by the way, I'm games3579. Shhhhh. |
