Awesome. You'll both probably want to learn how to use Sony Vegas, although I'm not sure if it's necessary for pure gameplay with the HD PVR 2.
Brennan: you have a widescreen TV don't you? If so, you'll want to switch the Hauppauge software to 16x9, then close the software, turn off the Hauppauge, and turn everything back on again. To get rid of the black border you'll need Sony Vegas. I recommend Vegas 9 as it seems to work the best for me.
Jaye: The HD PVR 2 can record 1080p. If your TV does 1080p and not simply 720p, I'd recommend setting the Wii U to 1080p and capturing/uploading at that quality.

I might not get a capture card at all. I can't afford a Hauppage, and I only have 30 dollars. I am very skeptical with the EasyCap because i want it to have good audio and quality. My iPad quality is just fine.
