Cutscenes. I hated scanning for everything just to find out what was going on... A story should be presented entirely and if there's backstory, then it should be presented in a way that's not like a wiki, IMO. Halo did it right with its terminals. Maybe they should implement flashbacks with certain items you find that show backstory. Either way, Cutscenes make the game more epic IMO.
