If we could all take a step back here and remember that there a lot of kids on this board and we have a responsibility to not cause them mental harm. Nonchalantly putting a reference to perversions in a post that kids will read is immoral and the people who post these kind of things should probably hang out somewhere else.

That's KIND OF why it's illegal for GameFAQs to allow anybody under 13 on this site. They do all they can do to keep children unexposed to that thing. If they find out somebody is under 13, they will ban them. That's all they can do.

If you don't know what that is, then you shouldn't be on this site. Either that, or you live an insanely sheltered life and need to have a talk with your parents.

Lig, to me, you are a kid. You haven't graduated college. You aren't legal to drink. You have barely voted. You've never been married. You really haven't even lived life yet. Just because someone is 13 years old doesn't mean they are ready to be swore at (I know there are ***), made fun of, subjected to perversion. Is that how you wanted to be treated when you were 13? Is that how you will want your kids (if you have some) to be treated? LIg, when you go to the grocery store, do you want people to harass you and swear at you and make perverse jokes?

Look, I loosely know the rules here, but I think that this is a place where trolling is fine but harassment is not. I know these kids need to get used to the trolling, but not to bullying.

Or they could just not post, and it would be a more pleasant place for everyone.

Who would you troll? ;P

Well... I would troll veterans who use perversive language until they explode with insanity. I agree though in the statement that kids should not be allowed onto the forums. But.. if you are really naive enough to believe that "perversive" talk and such don't exist at high schools and such you need to update your clock, cause it's not the 50's sir. The talk needs to cease on this board NOW and you veterans that do talk like that need to take some maturity and grow up. I strongly agree with Falcon though(sorry gabe) kids under 15 should not be here. End of discussion.

I'm not arguing that perversion and immorality don't exist. I am saying that it shouldn't be used in this public forum that kids use. Kids over the age of 13.

I apologize Dark. I was not trying to single you out for making that statement. I was talking to everyone as one talks to a community.

Your definition of "kids" is vastly different from the general populations. I'm positive that I've seen worse crap on the internet than my parents could handle, and it never phased me.

The "children" of today aren't what you think, Dug. They've gone through a lot, even by the time they hit 13. I highly doubt anything said on here could be worse than you would hear while in middle school.

You probably would have better luck campaigning to keep the home-schooled off this board, as they are probably far more corruptible than and 13 year old.

That kind of 'talk' is done with friends and out of earshot of everyone. When someone types something here that is offensive, anyone that has a computer and internet can read it. This isn't someone saying something to someone while hanging out by a locker, this is like someone saying something over the intercom of the whole school. Would that be OK? Or if someone yelled obscenities in the middle of a orchestra concert, would that be fine?

Concerts are completely different. Saying ANYTHING during a (non-jazz) concert is worthy of the death penalty, as far as I'm concerned (hyperbole).

And if you think that kind of talk is said with friends, you're also dead wrong. It's said loudly and proudly. As long as there is no teacher around, people don't care who hear it. I was a goody-two-shoes Mormon boy in school, as were all of my friends. Heck, my town was extremely religious. That didn't stop me from hearing the nastiest stuff of my life.

This is like telling people they shouldn't smoke outside a gas station. Because kids go to gas stations, right? But what you don't know is that's nothing compared to the amount of kids smoking all over the place. A lot of kids are less bothered by the smoking than their parents are.

You seem to be forgetting the very reason why kids aren't allowed to smoke, or drink, or do elicit things.

Their body and mind is not developed, They are not mature enough to make decisions for themselves, and they risk being much more aversely affected by it than adults.

The entire issue at hand is passing RIGHT over your head.

I'm with Dug on this.

And Lig you gotta let this one go.

Spend some time reading documented statistics before you make generalizations about "kids" today.

I work with a lot of "kids." They're typically 22 - 24 year-olds looking to work for a year or two before going to medical school. They're all well educated, college graduates. We usually don't even look at applicants with GPAs below 3.6.

So, these are college graduates, they have full time jobs, and they live alone.

Some of them are pretty well equipped for life but most of them are not.

Most don't know how to interact socially. Most don't know why you go to the funeral of a co-worker. Most haven't had a long term committed relationship.

As far as profanity and perversion go, it has no place here. There are hundreds of other forums just for that type of stuff. Go take it there. That's where it belongs.

Also, the fact that smoking doesn't bother the kids as much as it does the parents really drives home the point that they are still just kids.

They haven't personally lost anyone to Lung Cancer, and they don't know any better.

They are still kids.

In fact, here's a simple test to apply to yourself, just one question:

Do you know more than your parents?

If you answered yes, you are still a kid.
