--Storyline--

It has a good plot. The story line is a lot better than in C2. The enemies are more challenging and there is some pretty cool stuff you can find in each of the levels.

--Online--

The levels are different, you would probably only recognize a few. They are good though, lots of cover with weapon pickups.

In C1 there are no loadout options and there are fewer avatars to play as online. The way the weapons for a match is decided based on group voting by weapon class.

Ex:
-- Energy -- ( You always would start out with de-atomizer and warp pistol. The carbonizer is in the map you vote on but teams must fight for control of it)

-- Near/Far

-- Explosive (Smaw is in the middle of the map [Which ever one the group votes for] so the same fight for control rules apply just like the carbonizer.)

Note: The weapon classes seen above are just part of the example, there are really about 10 classes to choose from; with about 5-7 weapons per class. Always the same starting weapons.

Yes, there are minor issues. Smaw glitchers can be a nuisance and claims have stated hackers are present in online gaming.

However, the storyline for campaign is worth getting C1. It's a ton more interesting then the C2 storyline. Interactive secret weapon caches are common throughout campaign, with upgraded versions of certain weapons.

I would say Yes.

Yes the campaign mode is very different compared to C2, but playing it lets you fully understand the background story to the two Conduit games.

As for the Online section, yup thats very different from C2, the leveling up sequence is very different, I would say its a lot harder.

Its true there are hackers and glitchers in the game, mainly found in Worldwide FFA, but I am finding less of them compared to last year.

Do find most people come online in the evening, states side, and have seen plenty of new players within the last month. Normally find players in Team Reaper quite often.

But in the end its up to you Steve, but if you do get the disc, I can then add your name to the growing TCON FC list lol.

If you want to play a 5 hour campaign, then yes, get it! If you want to play online, brace for the glitch fest and greatest hacker spam I've ever seen online. You will get a few good matches, but their not enough to outweigh the unsustainable multiplayer IMO.

Yes! Why not?

Conduit 2 is a game that came out already when I chose to get The Conduit. I decided to get Conduit 2 only because I thought I would understand the background story and campaign fluidly; and I did.
