Thought I would find and post this topic that has been on both the Wii and WiiU boards on this site.
It gives a bit more background as to what is really happening.
Apparently someone called GLU Mobile is one of the reasons why the servers are being shut off.
Anyway, here is the link - http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/930752-nintendo-wii/68679582
Some of it takes time to read, but once its all read, it looks as if somehow there was not much Nintendo could do about it. --- NNID - AndyInTheUK. Now writing the complete Cryptology for Conduit 2. http://i.imgur.com/YD02k.jpg

Last I read about it, it was still pretty speculative.
Does it look to be like a more certain thing now? --- NS_CHAIN 2666-2862-7656
To be honest with you Chain, I havent heard any news about Nintendo and GLU Mobile deciding to renew contracts.
So maybe its out of our hands. But the one main point that I didnt like, was that it was GLU Mobile that didnt want to renew the expired contract with Nintendo.
Nintendo has got money in the bank, but if someone doesnt want to do business with them, thats another story. --- NNID - AndyInTheUK. Now writing the complete Cryptology for Conduit 2. http://i.imgur.com/YD02k.jpg

Oh, I mean, Does the GLU mobile explanation seem more certain now, or is it still quite speculative.
Obviously there hasn't been any official statements made, or anything. But when I was reading about it a few days ago, people were just beginning to piece things together, and it seemed almost as likely to be completely wrong. --- NS_CHAIN 2666-2862-7656
