Day 59 Conduit 2 Map Detail Analysis: Two Rooftops in Streets Prime

Streets Prime is unquestionably my favorite map. Maybe thatís because I prefer small lobbies and I donít have to spend all my time searching for the other players there.

Streets Prime is one of the more symmetrical maps of the online game, with the differences being minor. In fact, the differences may be limited to the closed door and intact car lift in one of the garages. Are there other subtle differences that Iím overlooking?

The Rooftops of the bases seem perfectly symmetrical, and have been the location of literally thousands and thousands of shootouts.

One of the spawn-points is very close to the rooftop, and if I spawn there, I usually take a quick peek across at the other rooftop, and fire a shot or two. But, generally speaking, I donít like to linger up there, and I donít head up to the rooftop to get a good vantage point for sniping either.

For me The Rooftops seem to be more of place to die than a place to kill. In fact I took a beating there just last night. Maybe itís because Iím vulnerable from several other positions, or the fact that I frequently fire my PR right into the edge of the rooftop, resulting in a wasted shot.

Some players like Dacheatcode learned how to do the jumpshot. I never learned to do that, but I wish I had. I probably would have needed to re-map my buttons in order to jump without dramatically affecting my aim.

Sometimes when youíre on the rooftop, one of the enemies will creep up behind you and give you a nice backstab. Iíve been knocked off The Rooftop a number of times, LOL.

What do you think about the Two Rooftops in Streets Prime? Do you like sniping from there? Do you do the jump shot? Do you like to flashbang people up there?

Rooftop sucks for SR users, because the wall is too high, and the SR gets into collisions too easily.
SR Why you get into collisions so easy?

I remember the when Dacheatcode earned the first ever legit ROT, and people were very impressed.

I don't think I ever played with Dacheatcode, but his name sounds fishy.

I always seem to find people using the rooftops. Many people place their turrets with spec on top of the walls, which i find kind of cheap because it covers a large area, but whatever, it is a nice place to put them with Spec.

I agree that it is more of a place to get killed than a place to kill. not only the fact that there are three other elevated places that can hit you (The two garage windows and the other rooftop, you can even count the pile of debris as an elevation point) but also that people from behind or from the floor level can kill you, with backstabs and grenades respectively.

Sniping overall is not great on rooftops, if you do decide to snipe there, be prepared to waste a lot of shots on hitting the walls, and it will most likely be a long snipe-off since players can simply take cover by going back into the spawn buildings.

Good for sniping the cross-section, with the central control point, and it also gives a partial view into the opposite alley, but outside of that does not give much tactical value.
