I don't even consider that a good clip, at all, in fact, I never understood why that was considered a good clip, rather do that with a PR, no scope with it and get a separate kill with it as well.

Well,Its not a good clip, ( at least not from that perspective ) but it shows what I'm referring to.

There's quite a few in this vid.

Remember, my point was that it cuts down on the approach time, which might help pace in a video.

You're probably not going to find a lot of what you will consider good clips from anyone in our group when we played together. In spite of the fact that we frequently used different weapons and had different playstyles, all of us were pretty evenly matched, including Dug, Ventus and Chronic. Occasionally, one of us would manage to put together a short string of kills, but it was rare.

I know this, but what you are referring to is private stuff, all of my clips are in public matches which is why I was able to get good clips to begin with, (And sometimes lucky stuff like my PR Awesome Kill in Emergence) and also because all of my clips are public matches, the standards are much higher.

Also, in general, a single kill isn't good, even if it from a really high place.

@Chain

You could just speed up the clip or just cut instead of getting a single kill, trust me, its better.

Other way around, actually. The fact that you only played against complete randoms, instead of fighting against a select few from this board (which is not all that impressive, but it's much better than nobodies) diminishes the level of "skill" (which this game does not require much of, especially in the Grab Bag mode) used and lowers the montage's quality. If you want to see an impressive montage, check out the PAL clan NWE (I think) and you can see what I'm referring to.

As for Chain's clip, I find that much more interesting than seeing you walk straight for 10 seconds towards a completely oblivious opponent and shooting them point-blank (sometimes it didn't even OHKO them, so that was even more troubling). Nite's angle seemed off because of how good and surprising the killer (Chain) was, but from Chain's POV it should look good.

No offense.

I'll be honest with you man, your comment was dead stupid, not because you're stupid, but because you have no idea how hard it can be to get 4, 5, 6, 7+ kills in rapid secession with the PR.

Also, this game require more skill than you think when you pretty much only use one of the hardest weapons in the game, while also aiming for only headshots, and as said before, getting those kills (And headshot kills) in rapid secession.

And I have seen NWE montages, they are good, and clip wise they match or nearly match the standards me and P4G had in Emergence, and editing wise, aren't the best by a long shot.

Also, fun fact: their montages were in public matches too, so what gives?

And Chains clip takes skill, but not much, esp when compared to some of the clips in other montages like KILL, Emergence, and esp some of IggyKop's montages too.

IDK how much skill or not it took.

But of all the things I've done in Con2, that kill in particular was the most satisfying.

Also, I don't think it gets anymore impressive than fighting the people here on this board, at least when it comes to Con2. The skill gap between most players here, on Con2, was very small.

Yes, I do.

The PR is one of the easiest, if anything. It's literally point-and-click.

And I have seen NWE montages, they are good, and clip wise they match or nearly match the standards me and P4G had in Emergence, and editing wise, aren't the best by a long shot.

NWE's montages (especially Python's and Metroid's) absolutely trump yours' in terms of gameplay. I'm not really much of a fan of flashy and sped-up editing to hide the faults that some clips have, so I like how they edited their videos (simple, but not too simple). Your editing was pretty good, nonetheless.

Also, fun fact: their montages were in public matches too, so what gives?

Did you notice that most of the clips were against their own members, members of other clans, etc.? Yes, that is much better than killing Mr.Ford #2043 while he's not moving.

yeah, probably was very satisfying, but not that hard to do, you just fall down, time it right and aim, not that hard to do.

It doesn't get any more impressive, sure, but I didn't want to do private matches all day just for clips, makes no sense, and besides, the game was super small anyway so you would likely run into people from this board anyway, so I don't really see the point in that comment tbh.

Plus, idk about the skill gap being very small, it is smaller than it should of been, but honestly, it felt fine to me, there were tons of moments were the game felt like it had a good enough skill gap, esp when facing good players or players that were from this board. Only thing I wish is that HVS nerfed the SMAW from the get-go because that made it certainly smaller than it should of been.
