Outrageous system requirements?

According to Steam:
OS: Windows® XP (SP2 or higher) / Windows Vista / Windows 7
Processor: 2.5 GHz Pentium 4, 1.6ghz Core2Duo or higher
Memory: XP: 512 MB minimum, 1 GB recommended; Windows Vista / Windows 7: 1 GB minimum, 2 GB recommended
Graphics: DirectX 9.0c compatible video card with 256 MB
Display: 800x600 minimum resolution, 1280x720 or higher recommended
DirectX®: Direct X 9.0c
Hard Drive: 200 MB available disk space required

I mean, they're not high compared to most of the more graphically intensive games released lately obviously. But this is a freaking 2D platformer with SNES level graphics! The the CPU requirement alone is higher than it is for regular Dark Void. And the requirements are higher across the board than they are for something like Oblivion. Am I missing something? Or, assuming those requirements are accurate, is this most poorly optimized game ever created?

Given the graphics, I'd expect the minimum requirement to be something like a P1-100mhz with 12mb of RAM (assuming the game would run under Windows 95 or something). Surely Steam just messed up...

I'm gonna call BS on those specs. There is no way in hell the game needs that to run.

Yeah I poked around the net and others stated the requirements are just so people don't see pentium 2 and get confused. I'm going to try it on the wifes netbook tomorrow but I expect it to run just fine.

200 mb of hard drive space is required? How on earth is this game able to fit on a DSi?

The requirements are lies. The game runs just find on my low spec laptop in fullscreen.

The specs of my laptop is:

1.73GHz CPU
1GB RAM

The download size of the game is 90MB.

I noticed on steam the original Dark Void game has the same requirements as Dark Void Zero.

Someone at Steam has made a big big mistake.
