So everyone's always arguing "synthesis is the right ending" "no destroy is" etc. I was curious what's the consensus on which ending is the "correct" choice.

Regardless of the breath scene, which ending do you think is the ultimate solution?

1) destroy

2) control

3) synthesis

Personally I'm going with destroy

Destroy by far. It isolates the Galaxy but the Reapers will never come back. Sure, some other threat might take their place but if the Reapers can be beaten so can that.

They never come back if you choose Synthesis as well. The only choice that leaves the option for them to come back is Control, but that depends on how you flesh out your Shepard's ending in your head. My Shepard flies the Reapers into the Sun, destroying them anyway, yet allowing the geth to continue living and keeping around mass effect technology so they can rebuild the relays.
