So then the development of SWTOR and Drew leaving to write the story for it can also be blamed for the ME3 endings, BW should've made it after finishing the story for Mass Effect.

Well I do Bioware spread itself to thin by producing three huge titles SWTOR,Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 simultaneously and that led to the upper echelon of talent being spread out which forced some of the B team writers to the forefront especially with Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

Casey Hudson and Mac Walters ruined ME3. I recall making a thread saying they should be fired a couple months ago but was flamed relentlessly. Now what? Are people still taking their side? There are so many better people at Bioware than those two megalomaniacs.

Well I still don't like them, making the EC doesn't redeem them in my book.

But the EC gave me closure (sort of) and choices, which the old endings were missing.

Shepard, Anderson, etc didn't die in vain this time.

But Legion and EDI did. You killed the entire Geth at destroy and a tweet that they (EDI, Geth) "may" be alive wouldn't help.

The new endings are an infinite amount better than the old ones, anyone would agree. Assuming the only problem with the originals was their excecution, everything is fine. But there were a lot of people who were more upset about the endings themselves than the way they were actually handled, and the update clearly does nothing to please those people.

I'd still argue that after spending 3 games fighting the reapers and a game and a bit fighting the illusive man; the fact that the happiest endings occur when you agree with one of those villains is a bit hard to swallow. Especially when sticking to your guns and destroying the reapers not only does more damage to the galaxy, but also wipes out a friendly faction who you had no reason to betray.

Please put on some mascara if you're still going to post about your disdain for the endings.

I chalk it up to this generation, nobody is ever happy with anything. Even if they gave an Oscar worthy ending people will still complain and nitpick. Plus whatever that stupid poll was does not represent the fan base as a whole. I would even hazard a guess that the population of the morons polled is not even close to the total number of people who play this game.

What does BW have to do to satisfy these people, bribe them with money?

___

Nothing, you always have to do it right the first time. It's pretty lame they buckled to pressure

Either that or remake the whole entire game.

People said from the beginning that the ending would still suck even after the extended cut got released. It's not primarily the lack of closure that everyone hated, it's the ending itself. The entire scene from the moment you get lifted to the top of the citadel and are introduced to the catalyst is what everyone hated. It came entirely out of left field and for a game that depended on decision making, there were only 3, and they all ended the same way.

We all knew that wasn't going to change, Bioware reaffirmed it time and time again. So no one got their hopes up.
