I was playing silver last night against collecters and they were poopin' all over me and my friends. Never happened before.

Silver Collectors will do that if you let the team get boxed in.

Possesed abominations and scions can really ruin your day if you aren't aware of their location and need to be taken out asap

sometimes you just get stomped when you get cocky
and yeah, I swear once possessed bosses start showing up you might as well be playing gold against collectors

Silver is still pretty easy, comparatively. I've encountered probably more bad teams on Gold than Silver so really, if you get used to bad players on Gold even should you have the most FUBAR Silver carrying the match shouldn't be a problem.

In my experience, the best way to deal with Collectors, contrary to what their available units seem to be capable of, is to be fairly aggressive and rush them. Don't give Captains time to release multiple swarms, knock Praetorians out of flying, take out possessed Abominations as soon as they spawn, etc. Scions also seem to be fairly clumsy in close quarters, as their melee attack is slow and if you just run by them, they'll stop to do the melee giving some time to gain ground.

Collectors really are just a step up from everything else. And their speed (of all units except the Scion) doesn't help matters.

Don't silver collectors have gold health values, or something?

Don't underestimate the speed of the Scion, they can push atleast 75 mph when your back is turned. I'll see one, and then go off to fight something else for a few seconds and they'll be on the other side of the map when I look back!

I swear Praetorians pick them up and carry them.
