I wouldn't say coming back to the game is a bad idea. While I generally notice if you have a banner at all or if it is a weekend banner, it is not like I would kick anyone for it. If the player looks lacking on the harder difficulties I can maybe equip something better myself, but I only kick people who just don't seem to be ready for Gold (it might be more enjoyable for them as well)

That's good to hear. Playing the multiplayer last year in between exit exams and internship was the only break I really had. I really enjoyed how you could pull together as a team/unit but still have all these moments where individuals can shine (last guy alive pulls the wave off somehow, infiltrator revives team several times over in tough round, lvl1 with crap equipment manages multiple consecutive grab kills, etc.).

It took the edge off the disappointment with the single player.
