4 for me. Its okay, i guess. With the new barrel and scope, it is decent. There are just better snipers, and the Mattock is a superior Raptor to me anyways.

It's better than the Vindicator. It has a really low hipfire penalty, low magnification scope, is lightweight, and it's the only sniper rifle that doesn't look fugly with the thermal scope and HVB mods.

I can understand why people would rate it low though. It takes way too much effort to hit peak damage with it, and peak damage sucks.

A great weapon if you see it as more of a scoped assault rifle as opposed to a sniper rifle... specifically, I see it more of a scoped Mattock. It's capable of being more useful against armor than the Mattock because of the Sniper Rifle High Velocity and the ordinary Piercing Mod, which keeps it as somewhat viable against the big guys on gold, though there are obviously other weapons that do a better job at that. Regardless, I like to use the Raptor on classes that rely on powers to do damage, but still have benefit from weapon damage ... an example of such is the Asari Huntress (Infiltrator), who uses Dark Channel from Tac Cloak, and has a few moments to snap out a few shots from cloak.

8/10 - a solid weapon that has a good DPS if you can consistently land head shots, which isn't very hard considering it has low recoil and a great ROF

I wish there was a -10 option on that poll... but that still would not be low enough. It is the one sniper rifle I ever used and gave up on, and I am a sniper by trade...
