Should I go Adept or Engineer?

I played Sentinel on my first run through. I just finished the game and am thinking of a good class to replay it on Insanity.

Which is more fun, Adept or Engineer?

I have never played Engineer (or Sentinal) through any of the Mass Effect games, my exposure is limited entirely to ME3 multiplayer and about an hour of Mass Effect 1 for each.

So based on the multiplayer experience I've had with Engineers and Sentinals they're just far less interesting and exciting to play. Because of the way tech powers work, the classes hold much more of a support role, meaning you have to be really careful with squad composition and using their powers offensively. Or at least I don't enjoy playing that way.

The Adept is -far- more powerful by themselves, as biotic abilities typically strongly de-buff enemies, or outright disable them. Plus biotic explosions are some of the most incredibly satisfying things.

I actually ran an Adept through insanity in ME3, wasn't a terribly difficult run and I had tonnes of fun with it. I'd encourage playing as Adept.
I dislike my username.

I'd say go engineer

It will be more different from your last playthrough than an adept will be

To me, the reason to go Engineer is the pets. Otherwise, it's just 'spam powers' versus 'spam powers with slightly more effects'.

So go Engineer if you want to have lots of Drones/Turrets etc, otherwise play an Adept.

I personally think Sentinel is more fun than Adept. If you don't mind it being less fun, go for it.

I'd go with the Adept. They get to play around with the physics of the game and it can be very entertaining watching enemies fly around. Also biotic explosions are incredibly entertaining.
