People should be more like Ken Levine. He likes ME, among other games :)

My point? Its related to the title of vid, as quoted by Ken. "We can kill the industry with cynicism".

I hope I wasn't the only one here, as a gamer, that eventually got fed up with repetitive topics and rage about an ending. And other issues in gaming as well. Not just ME3. A positive outlook is a positive thing, for all sorts of matters. ME2 is still my favorite game, but overall, there's far too many pros that outweigh cons in all 3 ME games. BW was acquired in 2008, but everyone used EA as a scapegoat target after ME3 had issues. I digress.

Developers still do great work, and next gen will give them even more options and power. Publishers aren't as "evil" as some angry folk make them out to be. In 2Ks case, they gave massive freedom to Levine to do anything to BS Infinite. BW, even with EA, still produced some incredible stuff. Far from bad. IMHO. I look forward to the future of gaming.
Thoughts are welcome. Just wanted to share something positive here =)

To beat a dead horse, I think people miss the point when we complain about the ending. It isn't the way it ended in itself,it's what Hudson et al repeatedly said when discussing ME 3 and the series itself.

Comparison: Fable was a pretty good game back in the day, if too short. But it's what Molyneau repeatedly bragged about that made the game feel so like a failure upon release.

If games should ever be considered art there must exist criticism. Game writters should also be more willing to revise their scripts, let people outside of the project to discuss them and accept when something in it is very stupid and rework it.

The fact that the ending didn't live up to promises is not the issue people had with it. The ending is a terrible one, and is completely out of sync with the rest of the trilogy. That's the issue, the fact that Hudson promised it would be more than it turned out was disappointing, but not the issue at hand.

The ending is also not the only thing wrong with ME3's story. The only parts of it I really liked were the Geth/Quarian and Krogan storylines.

I agree some developers still do great work. CDP Red, Obsidian, Irrational Games, Crystal Dynamics, ArenaNet, Rocksteady and many other studios make excellent games. I just don't think BioWare is currently one of them.

I do find it was a shame for Hudson to make such statements ahead of launch, and not deliver. I just wished he kept his mouth shut. Save him the scrutiny from everyone. Instead he incriminated himself after launch and people started quoting him with his past statements.
At the same time thats a part of development. things change, ideas, writing, design etc. A game previewed at E3 may be very different from the final product. Hudson just set himself up, in a bad way.
