The reason I'm asking is that I am doing a low-EMS "incompetent-Shepard" playthrough, and I'm still in the first Mass Effect, but before it is too late (you know, it becomes impossible to find people to play with because everyone has moved on), I'd like to get my galactic readiness to 100% by playing the multiplayer, then disconnect from the internet to keep it at 100% for good.
I want to know if I can go ahead and play the MP now so I won't have to worry about it after my incompetent-Shepard playthrough, but I will wait if doing the multiplayer makes it impossible to get the low-EMS ending. --- My opinions on Mass Effect in a nutshell: ME1- great, ME2- masterpiece, ME3- great but underrated. The post-extended cut ending is just fine, but a little weak.

I think you can do it if you avoid side quests and purposefully sabotage war assets.

It won't be hard to find games to play. The MP is still pretty active. --- GT: THE Terry May Keep clam and Chive on!

Maybe, but only if you specifically sabotage everything & skip a bunch of missions.
I got a Low EMS ending with a character that had specifically ruined a bunch of stuff to get low war assets, skipped pretty much all of the fetch quests, skipped the Bomb mission to lose 300 Krogan Points, & had 50% readiness. At that point, I still had almost 4000 total assets.
