I'm playing around with a power build for the destroyer.

Its kind of funny, will see if there is a good build in there somewhere. Probably not.

Did anyone else notice the most useless evo in the game is rank 6a of destroyer passives, the one that makes weapons lighter?

I actually ran the numbers on narida for that last week, looking into a 2-shot executioner /cobra missile / full power damage build.

the results were...not impressive enough to merit further investigation....

1300 to armor, thats actually about the same as a sentry turret, except you dont have to cast and it goes with you.

you can actually get cobra missiles to do 1341 damage to armor every 3.6 seconds.

It would take me a while to get used to 1400 shields but i'd give this a try.

What ammo power? Phasic?

Might be better off with re-fire time. You can do 1341 damage every 3.6 seconds, or 894 every 2.76 seconds.. The armor DPS is a little lower on the re-fire build, but higher against everything else.

If Narida's numbers are correct, Hydra would also be doing more damage than Cobra. 891x3 > 1341

I'd also argue that duration on lift grenades is even more useless than destroyer weight..

For a power build, 6/6/6/5/3 would be better because it would give you more shields than taking fitness to 4.

hydra might be better if you take armor damage, but otherwise it's just 594 damage for each missile. That's only a little extra DPS, and you lose out on 125% more force and 300% more radius.

hydras are also worse for banshees who will put up their barrier after the first missile hits and ignore the second two

I'd say melee damage on a volus without the gauntlet is even more useless, because not only will you not be killing anything with melee, but you are taking away from your health and shields

oh and also, headshot damage on Tac Scan is useless
