UR Unlocking Strategy.

So I'm kind of near maxing everything. I'm done with every weapon under UR or Promos, done with every character and weapon mods. I only have two uncommon gears and three rare gears to get done with.

My doubt here is with URs. I'm already at the infuriating point where 2/3 of every PSP I buy simply gives me "rare" ammo powers and the rest are useless (to me) consumables.

Let's say tomorrow I have everything maxed (including any new character kit they might release this week), what strategy should I use in buying packs from now on? Should I care about getting simple Spectre Packs for the sole purpose of hunting URs? Or do PSPs have a noticeably bigger chance at unlocking URs? I don't think I ever asked, so I'm kinda in doubt now.

Back when I still needed UR levels, I did a test; 50 SPs vs. 50 PSPs. The results are somewhat surprising:

375,000 per UR in SPs, 425,000 per UR in PSPs. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I have maxed two different manifests and have had much better luck with regular SPs.

It's not too big a factor, but Spectre Packs should give you more consummable supplies too (since you buy them more often), so you might not need to buy equipment packs for medi gel quite so often.

DF: So why can a Marauder roll but a multiplayer Turian can't?
Delta1-9: You are fighting female turian husks. You have reach but they have flexibility.

Should also mention I make it a practise to keep all my supplies at 255 (Not meaning I'm a cheapo during platinum lmao), so that gives me even more consumables.

On the plus side, I notice a substantial difference in the equipment consumables given to you in PSPs and SPs. In PSP you'll get at most 1 uncommon (level III) equipment, but in SPs you get up to four, and that is awesome.

Anyway, I tried opening 6 yesterday, and I got a Talon upgrade, much better than the 10 PSPs I opened the other day that only yielded a single Javelin upgrade.

Think I'll stick to this method.

Pretty crazy watching those vids...I think once I get my golds maxed I'll start using that strategy.

Tried it out last night 2SP and i got two rare characters that I don't have before. (Volus Merc and Turian Havoc). You sir, are a light against the dark tyranny of the RNG God and his highpriest EA/BW who demand blood sacrifice in BW points. I had a 2 1/2 weeks drought of getting same character cards with over a dozen PSP. Fustration, Anger and Desperation sets in, I was only one click away from making unholy sacrifice in BW points to EA and their dark god. You have save me from going down that terrible path. Thank you and may fortune always smiles on you. :D
