So Adjutants focus to turn anything that lives into their likeness by rewriting DNA? I know it's not the same mechanic, but I kept having bells ring about Dead Space's necromorphs. Thought the whole frail attempt at the suspense segment of the run was trying to take a shot at that.
Just found it a bit funny. I like how the Adjutants look actually. Just wish they'd do a bit more than just that Singularity-like drain field and their bombs. They don't appear even remotely interesting challenge-wise to insert in multiplayer, if they will at all.
Or did I miss anything? Gave them plenty of time to take several shots at me during the last battle of the campaign, mainly 'cause they take more shots to go down when you're playing on Insanity. --- MMSF - Leo FC: 2664 7689 8101 MMSF2 - Zerker FC: 4125 0059 9928; MMSF3 - BA FC: 4082 3429 8705 - Pokemon Platinum FC: 2836 6253 7871
They have a jumping melee attack that deals quite the damage. Though they do seem weaker; my Infil with a Valiant can strip their Barriers with two hits from Cloak; can't say the same for Banshees. They'll be a good addition to Cerb imo. --- Proud Quitting Returner. Yancy so kawaii ~ http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbremyDrun1qlpahho1_500.jpg
I wonder about that. Plot-wise, only 2 Adjutant Prototypes managed to remain in Cerberus control, and Shepard destroyed them.
If you consider that just one of the out of control prototypes could've somehow made it out of Omega, lying dormant and hidden until any shuttle or ship made it to a different planet, then you'd have an exponentially growing army of rogue Adjutants, probably.
With that taken into consideration, the rogue Adjutants behave with a Reaper mind-set, so it wouldn't be odd if they became a new enemy from the Reaper faction rather than from Cerberus.
Plus, when Collectors arrived, Cerberus got the Dragoon and Geth got the Bomber. Reapers didn't get anything new. Just sayin'. --- MMSF - Leo FC: 2664 7689 8101 MMSF2 - Zerker FC: 4125 0059 9928; MMSF3 - BA FC: 4082 3429 8705 - Pokemon Platinum FC: 2836 6253 7871
Fair enough. Where would the Rampart Mechs fit though.... I hope the Mercs from ME2 get added... Alongside Ramparts, Lokis, Ymirs and Orcus. --- Proud Quitting Returner. Yancy so kawaii ~ http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbremyDrun1qlpahho1_500.jpg
They're basically LOKI mechs, only with shotguns instead of pistols, omni-blade melee attacks, more shielding, a berserker-rampage mode when low on health, and a fiery corpse upon death that deals damage. Which changes are nearly all thanks to Cerberus upgrades. --- GFAQs F-Zero GX Fantasy Grand Prix Season I Champion - TN, MT, CB Link meets Fire Emblem in Tales of Elibe! Find out what happens!
I personally consider Ramparts to be like robotic Dragoons. Mostly since they're all about Armor and running fast towards you. :L
They do have some sort of lag between actions though. Kinda like how when a Cerberus Trooper approaches you and it takes like 1 second before they realize they can use their electrical knife to take a swipe. There was many a time when I was taking cover and the mechs were trying to flank me. I would notice too late that I had one behind me but it would stand there, then as I was rolling away it just began using its omni-blade, missing me by a great margin. --- MMSF - Leo FC: 2664 7689 8101 MMSF2 - Zerker FC: 4125 0059 9928; MMSF3 - BA FC: 4082 3429 8705 - Pokemon Platinum FC: 2836 6253 7871
