Is this game as hard as old school RPGs?

Can't imagine it would be harder than Dragon Warrior 2 though. Wouldn't want to spend a whole $1 on a grindfest

No, you gain LVs rather quickly. No need for grinding if you don't want to.

To answer your question, no it is quite simpler. Still very fun, and still requires thinking. You still need to plan out moves or else a group of monsters will get the best of you. Also tons of hilarious tongue in cheek humor.

You could try the free demo to see how quick this game actually moves along. It moves along very quickly and is pretty much the opposite of a boring grindfest.

yeah. No need for grinding in this game.

This game is about the experience and nothing else.

I ended up grinding twice. Once before the second town and once before getting the final character. Just a bit though. The last time I grinded was to beat "the secret boss".

So really, there is no need to grind in this game.

No this game is rather easy
Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast were both great systems.
